Cherry T is a freelance drummer based in London originally from Switzerland.

In September 2019 she was invited to join the Drum Works team (Barbican Centre) as a tutor, and regularly finds herself around East London with them, co-leading workshops in schools and performing at public events. 

 Since 2018 she works as a peripatetic drum tutor in London and Surrey, co-leads Samba Workshops and teaches young musician at The Academy of Contemporary Music.

In recent years she has performed at venues around Europe (Switzerland, Netherlands, UK) in genres such as: Kletzmer, Accoustic, Indie Pop, Blues and more recently Hybrid-progressive Folk with the UK based multi-culti band MARDHYS.

More and more involved in Theatre performances, Cherry T recently took on the percussion chair in the english interpretation of 'The Thorn of Acacia', a greek play written by Filippos Zarfeiadis (Actor, Director) and Dimitra Bakalgianni (Actress, Director), performed in the White Bear Theatre.

Other performances involved percussion for the productions of 'Zorro' and 'Zorba The Greek' for the Performance Preparation Academy in Winter 2019. Musical Director: Kevin Oliver Jones (Hats off to Led Zeppelin, Lipstick on your Collar) . 
Her first involvement in musical theatre was in 2017 as the on-stage-drummer for Italia Conti's production of 'Love me Tinder'. Musical Director: Nathan Dawe.

At the Academy of Contemporary music she completed her BA(Hons) degree in Music Industry Practice & Performance and studied with Tutors such as Pete Riley (Republica, Guthrie Govan) and Toby Drummond (Jersey Boys, Chicago, Lion King, Billy Elliot). Back home in Zurich she studied with Andy Brugger (professor at Zürich University of Arts 'ZHdK') and Felix Perret (Musik Konservatorium Zurich, MKZ).
